Has anyone done this?
I have recently installed my pins and bushings (no roller pins yet). The new pins have knurled ends. They dont seat all the way down. I have hit them pretty hard to get them to seat but no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, my door still shutters when going over bumps. Hoping its the roller, kind of aggrivating.

x2 i agree sounds like your striker if the door is not sagging also the aftermarket door pins are readily available but not as good quality as oem hence the 10 dollar aftermarket price versus the 40 dollar oem price . I have seen ( very rarely ) the holes in the hinge will actually egg shape .

I hate pins and bushings. I replaced my bushings and pins on my drivers side because my pin was slightly bent, making me able to move my door up and down, which is obviously not good.

Anyways, I tried bushings from NAPA and from the dealer. Neither of them went in no matter what I did. I even bought a door pin tool from summit and that wasn't any help either. What we ended up having to do was shave the bushing hole so that they would fit. So retarded. Just make sure you put the right bushing in the correct place, one is smaller than the other, and make sure you put the pin in the correct way. If im not mistaken one goes up and one goes down.

Good luck!

"shutters" more like bounces around, hah. It sounds like its going to fall off.
Since replacing the hinge pins and bushings, the door opens and closes much easier. Now I need to do my passenger side, hah.

I dont feel it fall, I do notice it was not aligned. After the pins it did lift it back into
alignment, not exactly perfect but close.

The bushings, honestly, after removing the old ones, they didnt look bad at all. The holes looked good, not egged out at all.

I'm just not sure if the pins need to be hit a lot harder to seat or what. I'll take a picture to show exactly what I'm talkin about.

How do you adjust the strikers?

Thanks guys, Iappreciate the help.

Should be a torx bit on the Bpillar.. i think its a t45 or t50, but mark where it was originally with a pencil like a reference mark, then loosen the bolt, and simply move it towards the drivers side seat. (if you were doing the drivers side first).. i wouldn't move it an inch, but slowly work your way in trying different positions of the striker to accommodate a nice clean smooth close.
Dont SLAM it, but you get where im going. then test drive and see if the door closed up some, hell it might take some road noise off your ears.

So move it gradually towards the drivers seat (opposite for the passenger side) until it shuts solid?

My door shook almost to the point where it was open today.
I think I'm going to get some new strikers. Mine are pretty worn out, they have some serious wear marks on the tops of them.

Thanks for the info Adam, I appreciate it.

well just think about it, when you close the door, the closer the striker is to the "interior" of the truck, the tighter the door will seal against the weatherstripping. hence no movement...

notta problem, hard to explain, i dont have any good pictures either. sorry boss

I was asking because someone at work said to do the opposite, move it away from the driver.
I'm going to go give it a try in a minute. I have to install a new charcoal canister to, when I'm done with that I'll try the striker.
I'll take pics while I'm out there.

Thanks again
