So they're saying that their system makes 12 HP VS 5 HP on a 5.3. That's not enough of a difference to measure consistantly. Probably better off saving that $300+ towards a tune.

I went home depot, got some PVC and coupling and picked a cheapie cone filter and made my own. Cost me about $30-40 I can't remember. Sounds awesome and works as good as any k&n or afe I've ever had

I'm thinking about putting an intake on this year. I have been looking at this Injen, and wanted to know what everyone thought.

I was also looking at injen...I instead went for a AEM brute air force things fx king **** man sounds like I got a new exhaust loud and low pitched...made for a real nice response too only dropped$ 142.00 got sone great deal through someone on here who knows a place!!

AEM brute force for sure. Thats what I have and removed all moulding from under box so is completely exposed to fresh air from underneath, just be sure to put on a dry sock cause rain water will come up. I put a sock from airaid on it cause they claimed to be 100% waterproof yet hinder no airflow

Airaid MIT and add a K&N to the stock air box. That's all you need. Even with a stock filter the only real restriction is the tube. Not much of gain no matter what you use.

I have the Airaid MIT, with a K&N drop in filter with the swiss cheese air box mod. I love the sound when I get on it. Considering people have made it clear that you really aren't getting any more HP but more sound and better throttle response with a full intake system...I think my set up is probably as close to a full intake set up as you can get with similare results.
