I have the K&N 77 in the mail, Ill post once its installed. I do not see myself opening the bottom because in addition to rain water/snow/melted snow I have to worry about the dirt they put on the ice in the winter.

I just installed the SLP unit. I really like it. The only complaint is the way the box lid secures. It is a plastic clip system simular to the system used to hope the radiator support plastic. The sound is awesome, it seems to have helped the mpg slightly.

I learned on another thread that you can use the "loyalty" promo code at AutoAnything.com and the AEM Brute Force ends up being $230 shipped. Not bad. I should be getting mine tomorrow and getting it installed this weekend.

Anyone know of any discount parts sites that usually offer good deals? I have noticed that Amazon and AutoAnything.com both run about $230 and was wondering if anyone knew of a better price.

I'm trying to decide between the AEM or an HD hood.
Wish that site you used was still up. Cheapest I can find is just under $250.
