Ive been thinking which would be best, the dash or the console. I got a dash bezel for 25 on ebay. I think the center console would be easier. There has to be an easier and cheaper way of getting it to work. Its a couple of bills the way they did it. I cant understand why it wont work with an iPod connection

when i watched the video i didnt understand why they used the dock when alpine does have an ipod connection... all they had to do is simply plug it in and it should've worked fine. i plugged an ipad upto my stereo with an ipod connection and it worked fine. my stereo didnt take over it the the way it does the ipod but i dont want it to if i install an ipad. i love how it actually looks rather stock. i can buy an extra bezel to fu*k with and do the fiberglass in my spare time vs paying someone 3-400 just to do it, cuz im sure it wasnt cheap

Thats the other thing i've been fighting. I plugged my friends iPad into my PXAMG and the sound worked but it didn't charge. Thats kind of a deal breaker to me even though the iPad battery lasts forever.

I think Thats why They added the dock. My AVIC 700 BT wont recognise it through the ipad connector. It wont play the apps sirius, hdradio or any other music apps

That is VERY nice. I'm sure it would be a lot easier with just an iPod touch, though...
