I don't see any way to explain to law enforcement why you have them unless you're on your way to a car show or something
Is anyone running red, and blue flashing lights?

This was most definitely an unplanned use. A friend of mine rolled his owned since new 2002 Yukon just around the blind corner. The vehicle rolled 3 times, stopping on its side completely across the road. Anyone not slowed down was going to t bone the wreck.
in succession I had a state park ranger, game warden, county sheriff, then state trooper come by me and not bat an eye. I did chat briefly with the game warden.

I'm surprised they even sold it to you with the lights & sirens still installed. Here in Honolulu they just sold off all their Crown Victoria Squad cars. My neighbor bought one. High mileage, over 150K on the dial, but it was meticulously maintained and recorded. Everything "police" was taken off of it. The cage in the back separating the front & back, the original rear seat was re-installed, even the holes in the roof where the lights were mounted and antenna was were sealed. Not bad for $1K. And they sold over 200 of those bad boys. Now they drive around in Ford Explorer POS. There are still a few Crown Vics but mostly for the higher ups. The Fords are easier to see too. Now if they would just get rid of those pesky BMW motorcycle units...Damn, they're quick!!

Even the siren could get you into trouble. Whelen makes a PA with an electric air horn that is legal to have and you can keep the plate and speaker under the hood or bar, wherever it's mounted.

I've run marine hailers in my vehicles for decades, kind of fun to blow fog horn or collision alarms but will only put the Whelen in the truck. I'm older and less dumb than I used to be now!

Pull the lights asap. Here in Texas you’re looking at a free ride and impounding vehicle if your even accused of using them…
As a side story some ****** pulled this very trick in a Dodge Ram one morning on my way to Lockheed… I promptly pulled In behind him and called it in, he tried for an hour to evade me and ended up taking the ride anyway…

I was just as surprised to get the vehicle with all the extras! But since the time of the original post until now the lights have been removed and the partition has also been removed for comfort. The spot light on the A pillar remains, the center console, the rear most part of the partition (I think it looks cool, looks like a dog cage) I've also added my business logo to the each side and the rear window. So no more mistaken identity! Thanks for all the replies and those awesome picture look forward to reading all the great info on this forum!
