I think I got a bad switch because when I push the 2 HI switch it will not stay on. Well, sometimes it comes on and stays on and other times it goes on and off. I have thumped it so much it has a small hole in the 2 HI switch. I hope changing it will fix the problem. what do ya think? How hard is it to do.

its not hard at all, just taking your dash off and getting to the switch is the hard part. were you looking into a aftermarket 4x4 switch or the standard one for your year?

I was looking at the standard one for my year on ebay. I'm new to this truck and Chevy's as a whole. Do they make an after market? If they do where can I get it? Thanks

if your just replacing the switch on the dash, its easy. pop off the bezel, unplug the harness, pop out the old switch, just the opposite to put it back in.

5 minute job tops.

Is it MORON proof, what i mean is only one way on, one way off. Any way to get the plugs crossed?
