When I make a sharp turn from stop, I get wheel hop. When I'm towing my 3450 lb. boat and trailer, it sounds like a wheel is dragging. Tahoe is a '23 Premier with 5.3 engine and 19,500 miles. I'm in 2 wheel high mode, tow mode with the boat.

Have you been to the dealer about this and if so did you go on a test drive with them and what were the results?

This may be a silly question, but are you sure that the truck is actually in 2 wheel drive mode, and not remaining in 4 wheel drive mode? I have not heard of wheel hop in 2 wheel drive mode.

I haven't been to the dealer but will schedule a visit soon. I'm fairly certain it's not stuck in 4 wheel drive. On one steep launch ramp I use, I have to put it in 4 wheel to pull out without slip.

This is late, but...you may be experiencing the "Ackerman effect", or driveline binding, especially if in 4WD. Even in 2WD, if you have larger or wider than stock tires, you might experience it when making a full-lock turn. There is a lot of technical terminology in explaining it, but easier to just say the large tire cannot follow the tight turn the steering setup is capable of.
