The row is a little thicker than what each of the rows would be on a dual-row rad. Think it is 1.25" vs. 7/8" thickness of each row on a dual-row models. So you are only giving up .5" by staying with a single row. Plus people say the more rows you have, the harder it is for airflow to reach the 2nd one.
