Powder coat would destroy pads because it's tougher than paint, it's more like cement.
Can always paint them then take them to a shop and get them turned ($20) before install.
Plastidip is thick and would gum up a whole lot more than just a thin layer of paint (3 coats enamel vs 6+ coats rubber)

That's just me guessing, no facts lol

Hey now I'm a firm believer in the dip. I think it's one of the best inventions since sliced chicken:happy107:
