Getting it ready for,"FULL ROLLER" status!!
Maaaaaaaaaan! Did we have a hell of a snow storm in Wyoming on the way out to California and hit the same storm on the way home! Cost us 2 xtra hours on the road, but oh well. I am off for 10 days now. Just wanna update a couple of the fellas that watch this thread religiously
Started of by by putting the new outer 27 spline Dana 30 knuckles on with a Dana 44 ear to be able to run the bigger axle shaft U joint. Joints pressed in real good. Not sure if i am a fan of the little needle valve the use to grease them, but they will be fine.

Now as you know, I kept the Dana 30 spindle because it is compatible with my conversion set-up. Although the brake calipers and brackets are not, I had to do a little trimming to the top caliper bolt hole and totally cut the bottom one off.

Bottom caliper bolt hole cut off so that the Dana 44 caliper and bracket can sit flush behind the rotor.
Now,since I am running a big thick billet wheel,There is no way the stock stud will even poke through enough to get a lugnut on. So I went with a longer stud that is intended for a dodge. Dorman part# 610-219 for the fronts. They pounded right in there and gives me about 1/2' more of threads.

New billet lock-out on.

I had to do some kustom cutting on the front wheel covers so the lock-outs could be exposed and accessible.

For the rear studs I used Chevy. Dorman part# 610-290

The shoulder had top be ground down to a taper towards the knurl.

Those gave me about 3/4 of and inch longer. Which gave me 18 turn before I hit 110 lbs of torque on the wrench.

I also went around and cut the existing U-bolts down to length.
*******FULL ROLLER*******
OOOOOOOO Weee, that front bumper height is sexy!!!
Right on schedule and now I will load it up on the trailer, so we can head down to DCA FAB( 25 minutes away) to have a kustom drag link and steering arm made out of 7/8 chromoly tube

Happy Trails
