Thanks Robbie.
What happened to the hundies? You ran out?

Jiggy-J

Nah. Put them back in the safe. We leave the 20s around the house for the kids to wipe their boogers on. Just happened to see one when I was reading the update.

I'm feeling a little under the weather, can I come blow my nose at your house?

WELDING IN THE MOTOR......

Figured I would get this done today, because Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday are booked up.

Since most of this Install I will be doing myself. I like to use Mr. Hoist. He doesnt complain,***** or whine about doing too much work. He is always there to help...:Big Laugh:

Now the rear driveshaft will be custom built as will be the front. The rear will only be about 19" long with a double cardan joint on each end because of the angle and pitch.

The front will be about 3' long with a double cardan joint and a big slip yoke. Tolerances are critical.

A lot of measuring. You have to figure in radiator, firewall distance for dizzy and bellhousing and so forth.

I used this level as a reference, NOT a final determination.
PC264906_zpsbwlwnxro.jpg

Tranny has to level, motor has to be pitched to the rear at a degree for the TC tailhousing to line up and such an angle so there wont be any significant binding or vibration. I got my sight level out with the red laser and THAT gave me a good reference.

Trans mount and TC skid plate will be built together. I'll take the jeep out to my buddy Jordy's shop. he is a master tube bender and Buggy Builder. The skid plate and mount will be all tubular with some kickass shape.

Motor all welded in..
I left out a lot of the technical talk. Everyone does it different.

The Transmission and the T-case are supported by a rod and ratchet strap. Just secure enough for transit. Hope to have all that done next week!

Waiting for a friend of mine to get back from vacation, so we can make the transmission mount and skid plate. We are making it out "1 7/8 tube. He has a bender and know radius's and degrees well. So that's the hold up.....:(
