And going through parts i want to install while i'm there.
Starter.

So interesting, the 6.0 and the 6.2 have a different starter than the 5.3.
Looking at images, the motor is a wee bit larger than the 5.3 starter.

Makes sense, however i find it odd that GM bothered with a different part.

Guy put an oem non 6.0 starter in my 6.0--burned out pretty quick.

Makes sense, probably a bit of increased load.
Especially if i rock the full 10.1:1 CR. :D

I'm still undecided about that one.

But i do have a cylinder head chamber measuring kit, I figure it should be good enough to get an idea of the actual CR when doing math things.
+ i can use the measuring beaker for the A/C oil balancing task. :D

Only thing really poking a hole in that idea, a tank full of regular gas.
If only i saw this before i pulled it apart and filled it with premium.

Siphon that shit out. Pull the filler neck and it’s easy. Then put it in something that can burn it like your lawn mower. Ok, that might take awhile. But I’m sure you can find something to burn it in.

PITA, but it might be where I'm headed.
at least my mower will go through a good 5 gallons pretty quickly.
Seems to last maybe 3 mows give or take.
