I haven't ridden in the truck myself but he describes is as not wanting to take off from a red light. like it's in too high of gear but with throttle, it'll down shift and take off Sometimes, when common to a stop, you get stopped but it lunges forward, almost like the tcc isn't unlocking properly. These are the symptoms her gave me. I didn't find much on the ol google though. I believe the mileage is around 120k? Trans has been serviced every 50k. Fluid and fliter

Is this something you simply changed in the tune?Might be the pressure switches in the techm.
Mine was doing that a bit, i found some of the laminates for the pressure switches had started to wear through.
The remaining lag or delay it had seemed to be going from 3-4, i fixed thst by raising pressures by 5%, and adding another 5% to the oncoming and off going pressure presets.
After going back to stock 5.3 settings, i did the same thing again.
Shifts much better this way.
