Yup, thanks... I did check the switch by selecting reverse, and the back up lights do light up...
Good advice... but battery was disconnected... I 'believe' all fuses were checked, but the fuses will be re-checked today.Probably you have not disconnected the battery while working on the starter and you made a shortcut. Then the 40 ampere fuse which is in the fuse box, on top on the left side is burned.
That would explain all the lights on your dashboard...

In my case it was the 40a stud... whatever that means....
