keyless entry problems

I have a 2000 z71 OBS...it did not come with a key fob when i bought it...i ordered one from ebay. When i jump across the pins it locks and unlocks to enter programming mode but thats all it will do. I cant get the key fob to program. Any suggestions??

what key fob do you have. and are you sure the battery is good and installed correctly?

Im not sure what key fob it looks like the OEM one but it has no markings on it. It says in the directions to jump it and then turn the switch on and then it will lock and unlock but mine locks and unlocks as soon as I jump regardless of the switch position.

i say send it back as not working and just spend the $50 at the dealer for a real oem one.
