Noob chiming-in here.
Two weeks ago, I moved out of a muscle car and into a clean, straight 2008 Tahoe LT 4WD with 125k miles. (Needs change sometimes.) Found the Tahoe ride fairly smooth but lacking control over surface irregularities and during cornering---motion was very boat-like, on the verge of inducing sea-sickness for rear passengers.
Researched suspension solutions and also reflected back on my prior experience with KYB Gas-A-Just shocks/struts with other vehicles. Reading many reviews solidified my decision, so I put some on today at all four corners.
Tahoe now rides 90+% as smooth and easy as with original shocks, but control is easily doubled, if not more. Cornering is FLAT, and the truck rotates with far greater quickness and ease. Shocks seem to read the road, soaking up small bumps with no drama while yielding ample road feel; larger body motions are completely controlled. Sea-sickness is completely removed from possibility. Steering inputs are noticeably larger and more direct. No ride or handling harshness or abruptness at all.
Dig it.
