L.E.D Tail light question

So i have stock tail light housings in right now, i smoked them. to my liking (see attachment) haha
but theyre so dark that the original factory ligh bulbs arent very visible during the day. (i've almost gotten rear ended about 5 or 6 times) i tried the whole LED bulb thing, i didnt really like it.

So im curious, does anyone here have these lights? (see attachment)
im gonna keep them clear for awhile see if i like the look or it grows on me, but if not im gonna smoke them dark again but since theyre LED they'll be much brighter?

anyone hear bad things about these lights?

I have those lights I love them. I got the smoked ones, They have a hint of tint..

You can get them from ebay. I've had mine for almost a year and no problems. True plug and play. I have em in clear and love em but I hear the smoked ones like Phantomx55 has are still pretty bright.

Should i get the clear ones and smoke them myself? or just get the smoked ones? :O

Personally, I like the clear ones but you should get the ones you think would look better on your truck. Do you have anything else smoked? What would look better for the color of your truck? Also, they say don't use these lights for rear barn doors but I've heard of guys modifying these to fit.

well i have hatch, (i hate the barn doors, sorry if anyone has them, just not my cup of tea haha) well alot of things on my truck is black, i painted my grille and my plastics all black. i dont think the smoked ones are dark enough but im afraid of ruining them and the light dont shine through well enough.

You could start with the smoked and tint them a little at a time until you get them the way you want. I think there was a thread on how to remove tint just in case you go too dark.
