i've had 4.30's in my head all this time Max, i usually drive highway miles between 70-85 is usually what i do so i think 4.30 will be slightly lower on the RPM range then 4.56's. What gears do you recommend i've talk to ron's machine shop and he said motive gears.. is the way to go.

I have 3.73's and love them. The radix makes plenty of low end torque, so I really don't think you need to gear it that low, plus it will kill your highway mpg. And it will be very loud on the highway if you have an exhaust or headers since you'll be higher up in the rpm band.

I break the tires loose at 40mph with the stock converter, so if I had 4.56's, that would probably be 50-60mph and pretty pointless for a street truck.

He has some heavy ass wheels which is why I recommend the 4.56s. My friend justin had the exact same setup as him on an lq4 in his denali and he was running about 2700rpm @ 70mph down the highway with 4.56 stock converter, big wheels on these trucks need a lot of gear. You are 2wd right Junior? I like yukon, g2, or motive gears. I have g2 in my truck and they are nice and quiet.

the truck is already loud with LPP headers Custom 3" pipe and No Cats.. Last night i broke loose at 20MPH with my 24's

I'm on 2 wheel drive Max, I do have Heavy and i mean Heavy wheels I'm thinking estimated weight is about 100 Lb + per rim, which equal about 32.4 Tall tire.. 70 @ 2700 RPM is Waaaaaaaaaaay to high for me remember i haul my kids around and we do go on long trips so that would just be insane for me to be on a 2700 RPM range.. i want to stay at 2500 RPM @ 70-75 on stock im at 2150-2200 RPM range. with 3.73 Gears. so either I'm thinking 4.30's or even 4.10 Some people say 4.10's would pretty much put me back to stock and 4.30's will give me that extra edge....

A couple of my buddies tell me to take the 24's out and it would be a way different animal....

2700 isn't shit, I get 19-20 highway with awd and an inch shorter tire. 4.30 is a happy medium if you are concerned but I don't regret my decision one bit.

4.56 on a 31" tall tire. I plan to get the new TVS maggy kit but didn't feel the 4.10 was enough to merit a gear change which is why I went with the 4.56. I love them and can't wait to see what they do with the blower.
