Still haven't gotten my truck back. Shop is taking their time with it. I did find out that the shop was able to get all new factory parts instead of used or aftermarket.

Get dirty with it and get the HD hood, dream lights, and dream housings while you can say its worth it! Glad to hear you'll be back on the road though.

Pardon my ignorance Grimes, what are dream headlights and dream housings?

Just an update on my truck. I was called by the body shop and told it was ready, I could pick it up Saturday.

1) my front wheels looked as if they had shifted towards the driver side. In fact my right front tire was rubbing when I turned hard right or left. There was a popping sound from the right front when turned hard right the back. Lastly when I was driving it, I felt an odd shift when I turned left normally.

2) the stereo didn't pick up radio stations even with the antenna cable connected

3) my right front tire was low.

So I got the tire aired back up with nitrogen and promptly called the body shop mgr back, chewing her out. I told her they've had it for > 1.5 months and they shouldn't be returning it back to me in that condition. I was pissed. I told the manager I was calling State Farm and complaining, this process was ridiculous.

I spoke to my "estimator" who said the body may have shifted on the frame. I thought how odd, and unbelievable that the body could have shifted to the passenger side when that side took the impact. It seems as if the body did shift, then it would be toward the driver side???? The body shop said they were going to deal with the body first before dealing with the front end components.

Needless to say I'm concerned. By the way, "they" have spent $8,000 on fixing it at this point.
