This is a helpful thread for me. I've never listed all the thigs that I need to on my Yukon. It's fun and depressing at the same time

99 Yukon SLT, 4dr, 4x4 project list
Replace windshield - Done
Replace pitman arm - Done
Replace damaged instrument cluster bezel - Done
Replace directional arm and cruise control switch - Done
Replace Transfer Case - Done
Replace fuel pump/filter/sending unit module - Done
Replace worn front-end parts - Done
Resolve misfire on cylinders - Done
Replace shocks - Done
Align front - Done

Resolve excessive play in steering.
Resolve drivers door lock actuation issue
Replace driver door outside handle
Replace weatherstrip at lift gate glass
Replace headlights
Replace marker and directional front lights
Replace tail lights
Replace driver-side mirror
Replace various dash and heater control bulbs
Reconnect rear-door and cargo area stereo speakers
Replace carpet panels on driver and passenger doors
Deep-clean or replace carpet throughout

Heres my comprehensive to-do's and completed to-do's on my 00 Z71

Crystal clear light set- done
Upgrade to NBS style wheels and 285 tires- done
Rust repairs and chassis under coating- half done (body is rust free, just need to tackle chassis)
Replace front and rear bumpers- done
HID/LED lighting- done
Alignment- done
Transmission service- done
Differential service- done
Transfer case service- done
A/C system service- done
Heating system (would never blow hot.. stuck thermostat.)- done
Esky console/cluster- done
Repair drivers seat- done
Fuel filter- done
PCV valve- done
Tune up (plugs, cap, rotor, coil, belt, tensioner, temp sensor)- not done
Replace/rebuild rear end with a LSD unit- not done
Fix wiper nozzles (because they fell underneath the cowl)- done
Front end (tie rods, ball joints, idler arm etc.)- not done.
Install OEM Z71 brush guard and find OEM Z71 tail light covers- not done
Repaint OEM Z71 running boards- not done
Replace CV axles- done
Replace leaking pinion seal- done
Replace tail light circuit board- not done
Replace interior hood latch release- not done (have OEM replacement.. just lazy)
Replace gas cap (?) P0420- not done
Replace Y pipe/cats (P0430/P0440) and fix hellacious exhaust leak- not done
Install some Rush turbo mufflers i got for free- not done

New Carpet with sound deading

that's off the top of my head but I know I am forgetting the little parts I have in my shop. I need summer to get here asap

Gotta find my sas parts. Dana 44 should run me $200 when they get one in odd that a e350 rear end would run 400ish but I can get a donor truck. Gotta get the actuator for the blend door it thumps and is annoying, gotta do my headers, would like to redo the Berliner so it dkesnt look rolled on..

There is a 99 E350 rear D60 ff at Harrys U pull it near me. The rear would be about 75 bucks plus core

Here's my list for my 99 4dr Tahoe 4WD off the top of my head and in no particular order


Big 3 Upgrade (have parts)
Weather stripping on back doors
Weather stripping on Front Passenger door
Weather stripping on tail gate (have parts)
Finish steering (already replaced gear box & pitman arm have all parts from tie rod end to tierod end just need to install)
Install steering damper (have parts)
Upgrade Sway bars
Upgrade shocks
Intake manifold gaskets
Modified throttle body
Upgrade to newer style injection spider
Valve cover gaskets
Replace Distributor
Tint Front windows
Repair drivers seat
Refoam and redo leather on front seats
Finish refurbing and moding Denali console and install it
Replace carpet
Replace sun visors
Install amp for Bose sub-woofer in Denali console
Upgrade rear 4x10s to 6x9s
Replace grille
Stock or stock looking fender flares
LED Light bar (still figuring out size and placement)

replace windshield as it's cracked in 4 different areas
Weather stripping all around
fix gremlins that have the interior lights coming on with each "unlock button" i hit...
replace front hood/windshield leaking piece of black plastic
repaint hood as all clear coat is off..
Finish steering (doing control arm stuff now) Lord please curse the engineer that thought rivets were a good idea on ball joints...

6.0 LQ9 swap (built somewhat)
