I am new here and started a thread with a very similar question. reading this just about gives me my answer but my concern is if i get a 2" drop in the rear it will appear to sag. my current ride stance is 2" higher in the back so like the original poster of this topic I want to level but not sag in the rear. has anyone done the 2" springs and 1" spacer to acheive approximately 1" rear drop? with this, do you still need to adjust autoride links and have shock extenders?

why spend 225 on springs only belltech where 250 comes with springs/spacers and shock extenders.

Use the belltech kit for 250 i have
use the 1 inch spacer
set the rear links to 3.5 inches

done

if you only want a 1 inch drop you can get the springs for 225 and go to hardware store and get 10x24 machine screw set it to 3.5 inches and will get that 1 inch drop. Anything i deal with autoride trucks i always use shock extenders just piece of mind.

I appreciate the reply and hope i'm not taking over this thread...hopefully the original poster can find this information just as useful for his question. I guess my logic is coming from racing motocross/GNCC and the monoshock/spring setups we used. my thinking with a shorter spring (3"-4") you're relying more on the shock/autoride to get the level ride you want and therefore more stress on the shock and perhaps it won't function the same. with a 2" spring (not sure if it's longer or just stiffer) more of the adjustment/load is placed on the spring to take some of the load off of the shock. On bikes, having the right ride height (sag) adjusted by the spring alone alowed for the shock to operate best. does that make any sense?

I have customers who tow a lot and the same kit ran for years no issue. Aitoride truck with 2 inch sorings and no spacer means less air in bags which leaves a really soft ride. The lowered spring with spacer and links adjusted is more air in bags making a more responsive ride.
I tow my ctsv to street races almost every weekend. 5 people in truck and at the 4 inch drop I have now there are jno wear issues or bags being blown and this is over ine year of using it.

Now ive also had trucks that gm used oem taller springs tjat I adjusted the rear and sat almost even with stock springs. Pm me for info on that

Can you explain a little more what the machine screw is for and how to set the autoride like I see referenced? Are there any good threads on this topic with pics? Also would love to see some pics if anyone else has lowered 1" in the rear with 22" gm wheels

One inch drop in the rear only is negligible. I kinda have that on mine. With out auto ride to though. On paper mine is a 1.25 drop rear only .
