Okay. I have scoured the inter webs looking for the solution to this one and I'll be if I can't find anything. It's simple as this. The switch on the bottom of the gate that closes the gate stopped working so I bought a new one and replaced it now the outside switch in the handle that activates to open wouldn't work. So I replaced it. Now this is what I have. Two new switches. The one that closes works but then the handle doesn't. If I unplug the button that closes the gate then the one on the handle does. But the button on the bottom of the door that closes it has to be unplugged. Any shared experience with this would be appreciated. Thanks folks.

The diagram shows the switches wired in parallel I believe...

So you can make both switches work, but not when both are plugged in?

Welcome, nice truck.

Compare part # on old and new switches. Sometimes GM uses switches rated with different impedances to command different functions like in different GM models of steering wheel switches.
