Lifted/Leveled 2021 - Postem Up

- 3 inch SST readylift
- Fuel heater 20x9 +1 offset
- Stock Wrangler AT's 275/60/20

Will run ridge grapplers or AT3's in one size up once these wear out.

Even without going up in tire size, the offset change from stock wheels is causing a slight rub on the bottom front liner and plastic at full lock in reverse on any elevation change. Surprising given the 3 inch lift, but there's not a lot of room in these fenders. Going to trim it slightly. Anyone relocate the two plastic mounting points behind the front liner on the bottom and relocate where the liner screws in? I have the wescott pullback for the back but it's not needed right now, and I didnt see where to mount it on the front but maybe I missed that?

Overall height seems to be barely under 6'7". Ride quality is 99% unchanged on this lift, slight stiffness increase in the rear end which was expected. But safe to say it "retains stock ride".

Honestly if I had it to do over I’d probably save the $$ and just go the zip tie route. As far as the ride goes, it’s just as smooth as stock and the recon grapplers are really quiet. Ok so I finally decided to go with a RC 2in kit for my YukonXL SLT. I'm going back and forth on tire sizes now. I'll be sticking with the stock 20in rims for now. Looking at Falken Wildpeaks in 285/60 R20? Will they fit? Anyone have similar? I don't mind cutting and trimming either.

I am REALLY torn between the two options below for my 2021 Z71. Will be used almost exclusively as a pavement princess. According to my measurements, there’s about a 2.5” overall height difference between the two including the lift and tires. Anyone have any pros or cons / recommendations of going one way vs the other?

Option 1:
RC 2” lift
Fuel Blitz D675 20x9 +1
BFG AT TA KO2 285/60 r20

Option 2:
RC 3.5” lift
Fuel Blitz D675 20x9 +1
BFG AT TA KO2 295/60 r20

YukonXL with 285/60 R20 Falken WildpeakAT3s on the stock 20in wheels. No trimming or rubbing and honestly could of likely gone up just a bit bigger, but plenty of room still.

This was the garage friendly version for me. Doubt it would fit in garage with the 3.5 and bigger tires...

Overall I'm happy with the look, I'll go bigger later on down the road once this is no longer our primary family vehicle.

Im having issues with my 21 Z71. It’s identical to yours with same tires and same rims. I put the 3.5 RC lift and to fit the 285/55R22 i had to go with a 1-1/4” spacer because the RC control arms hit the tires. This cause serious rubbing. I’m thinking of going down to the 2” to do away with the RC arms and would also do away with 1-1/4” spacers. My guy installing says the rubbing will be too bad and we need to go down to a 285/50R22. How bad is your rubbing with the 285/55? I really do not want the 285/50.

Update: Added 1.25 HC spacers. A small amount of additional trimming but still not to crazy at all.

@DWSmoot You had less rubbing with 2” lift and no spacers? What made u put spacers? I’m thinking about going down to 2” lift to keep factory control arms and removing spacers. My guy installing thinks that will make the rubbing worse.

Probably not the struts, it’s the upper control arms that are hitting your wheels without the spacers. I’m running 2” RC, 1.25” spacers, stock size tires and had to remove the brackets behind the fender liners and do a little trimming. Did you remove the brackets?
