Lifter anxiety

Well, I left the Ford camp and purchased a new 22 burb last July, love the truck. This forum is great for all info related to our vehicles. Is there a mileage range when this lifter failure occurs? Reading the lifter related threads is seems mileage is all over the board. I only have 3600 miles but every time drive mine I find myself waiting for the boom.

Nothing personal, @Doubeleive, but you sound like the weather predictors. You are correct, though, the models don't agree.

Its not common. This forum is dead. There is a handful of active posts about it .

If it was even remotely common there would be a recall.

Agreed that it can be worrisome to see the reports on this Forum. I am glad that we see and share the reports but what is happening is not happening to every vehicle. I do not know the numbers but my 2022 is doing just fine and I see a lot of other GMC, Chevy, and Cadi vehicles out and about every day. As stated above, just enjoy it. Hope yours keeps on truckin just like mine is, at least so far.

I believe Recalls are for safety issues now a TSB is for problem corrections and there is TSB on lifter issue.

Losing engine power suddenly is a safety issue. In some cases engine shuts off. It's not happening enough for it to be a recalled. It's not common at all. Count the threads here then go look up sales data and compare. We are beating a dead horse.

Very few of these Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade owners are on this forum compared to vehicles sold. Vehicle problems on forum is not the best gage for number of problems a manufacture is having.
From reading threads these lifter problems are miss and noise and as per TSB ": Engine Misfire/Tick Noise, Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Illuminated - DTC P0300 Set" Doesn't say engine shuts off.

Not to jinx myself but 2019 Denali with almost 80K miles and so far only issue was one leaking shock. No lifter issues as of yet.
