Having a hard time finding that part, got a link?

According to GMPartsDirect, 12645725 was replaced by 12680871 which was replaced by 12698946 which appears to be the current number.

Jegs says that they have 4 of them left in stock. https://www.jegs.com/i/Chevrolet-Performance/809/12698946/10002/-1

GM dealers and reputable companies listed here have them:

Not familiar with these companies:

All of the Amazon ones are Chicom garbage and the reviewers all lost their engines soon after installation.

Yea that’s exactly why I’m going for delco brands or ones that could be trustworthy

Off topic question but when you do this will you remove the (intake) valves and clean the back sides? Like to see a picture of those if so. Really wonder about the DI engine valves build up.

@tom3 These engines aren't direct injection, normally there isn't a reason to clean the intake valves. This is for 08-2014 Tahoes looks like you might be thinking of newer ones

Hello my GM 5.3 people. I have a lifter that went and need a little advice on what all to change seeing I'll have it apart. Has 267k on it. And, what lifters are recommended? AC Delco? Any particular aftermarket?

Lots of options. Aftermarket or stock cam? Deleting AFM? If you are deleting it, I'm a fan of the Morel 7717 lifters. Chevrolet Performance drop-in lifters are also good - they're what I'm running on my cammed 2012. Word on the street is the OEM lifters are made by Melling, so if you're keeping AFM, either OEM or Melling lifters are the way to go.

Might as well send out the heads for machining and have new valve stem seals and springs installed.

Here is my cam swap parts list in case it's helpful: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/thr...nali-6-2l-cam-swap-thread.121671/post-1616690
