another member bought headlights from ebay recently and hated them within the first week. they fogged up and got moister inside them.

one option is to stick with TYC headlights which are very good and recommended by everyone or you could get those headlights and then seal them up before installing them.

id go with the smoked ones. Im looking to upgrade my headlights, bumper and corner lenses too. I found some with LED bumper lights that look cool on ebay too. Does chevy and GMC lights from the same year fit each other?

are there any reasons why the smoke one's would look bad with HID's? Does anyone have pics of the smoked ones installed? I assume your talking about running a bead of clear silicone around the crack where the lens meets the back part of the headllight correct?

correct. a bead of silicone around the crack where it seals together.

those smoked ones dont look that bad for filtering light but i've heard some people say that anything that hinders the light output, such as the smoked lenses, gives crappy light output that you cant see 10 feet in front of you (even with HIDs)

also for $110 you can get a set of TYC headlights from streetbeatcustoms.com (imo the better buy) you can buy a set of parking lights on ebay cheap. they're all the same.

Ill have to do a little more digging and ask some questions, I thought the lens itself was clear and the chrome portion of the housing was smoked instead of standard chrome. I would think if that's true there would be no difference in light output? I'm not opposed to the clear ones, but that's all you ever see and I wanted it to look different. By the way sweet sig pic! Where in WI are you from?

having the chrome reflector section smoked is even worse. this does not reflect the light properly like the chrome does. the best is to have chrome reflector and clear lens. i'm not sure how badly it will affect the light out put tho but it will decrease it.

thanks! i'm bout 30min west of milwaukee
