FWIW, I am driving a 2013 Suburban with 17100 miles and it has 2 cracks by the passenger air bag. It is a well known defect. Here is another thread you might find interesting as it pertains to the NNBS trucks with lots of TYF member input.

I was in that thread so many times that I can't believe I didn't think to check in there again. I will start do some reading.

Wow, the thinking of buying an NNBS thread is really loaded with lots of issues on these vehicles. Makes me kind of nervous. Never heard of most of them, just the bigger culprits like the Rear suspension, wheel bearings, dash crack and Chrome peeling.

So is 20k @ 107k miles really that good of a deal?

Apprehension is understandable anytime you are buying a used vehicle. I had this same discussion with my wife. Having said that, these vehicles NBS or NNBS have so much history, ease of repair and access to parts be it taking it to a local shop or DIY and loads of info on this thread that covers anything you could every want to know.

The other guys giving you advice on this thread above have been through this same thing and are active here and as well as doing things to their trucks at older years or more miles, etc.. That mileage is nothing to worry about as stated she is just getting broken in. The known issues may not affect the truck you are looking at, but at least it is a great starting point of what to look for. I took it a step further and brought the truck to my local mechanic and asked him to look it over top to bottom.

Just take a look at the comparable pricing for similar models to see if the dealership is on par with what you are seeing price wise within a good distance range of where you are buying and like you are trying to do is negotiate what works for you.

That pricing seems reasonable for a Denali in good condition and that mileage is about normal when a lot get traded in. I've seen that trend here in Florida. Your pricing may vary a bit regionally.

Sometimes too much info is more to worry about. If you like the truck, it checks out the best you can and fits your budget then go for it.

Not sure if you saw my earlier post or not, but I did look at it in depth and this was the information I was given on it.....

I received some background information on this vehicle from the sales manager when I was there. It seemed like he was being honest, at least I hope.

He said he his neighbors with the owners brother in law. It was a commercial vehicle for Ahern Inc here in Fond du Lac for its first few years, then the company CEO/president purchased it for personal use afterwards. It sounds like they are very meticulous with their vehicles.

He had an account set up from his work for unlimited car washes I was told and that it was very well taken care of. Like I stated just from what I could see only the dash being cracked is all I could see wrong with it. He said the guy is so **** about his stuff and cleanliness that you could literally eat off his garage floor. I laughed a little and he said I'm serious, we can even call him right now and ask him about it. He supposibly brought it in for maintenance or whatever else it needed quite often. That if something seemed off, he had it fixed right away.

The truck has a box in the back with 2 pairs of brand new headphones for the DVD player along with the remote, never been used from the looks of it. I was also told they only ever used the third row 2x a year. Seats look like they were never sat in, although car fax shows that seat was either repaired or replaced recently.

Owners never had any kids and it was just the 2 of them most of the time. Rear compressor and suspension bags appear to be in good, working condition

If you are happy with the pricing and feel good about it, then go for it. The Denali is always a win with all the extras, bigger motor and comfort. Holds its resale value as well.

I appreciate all the :2cents: I can get!!

Yeah, obviously the lower the price the better :). I've just never bought a GM or SUV/Truck for that matter. Always had import (Honda Civic, Scion TC's and Acura TL's)

Everything seems clean on it ,except for the cracked dashboard that I would probably end up fixing as it would annoy the hell out of me. I'm very **** about my cars.

BTW, beautiful NBS you have!!
