Hi guys. I’m looking at a 2016 Yukon Denali 4WD tomorrow. It’s the the tricoat white. 26,*** miles. Fully loaded — it’s only missing the retractable floor boards and the 22” wheels (I’d buy 22 inch wheels post-purchase) as it has the is boring 20” ones on it. I could use them as my winter wheels.

They’re asking $55,500.

It still has warranty left so that’s good. What should I look out for? I’m going to test drive it tomorrow and, if everything checks out, drive it home.

What’s a fair price?

I was shopping new models last month (new 2017 Denali that was on the lot) and they wouldn’t budge enough on price. MSRP $76,800 and they’d only come down to $69,700. Too much. Even with the 0% 72mos.

I figure a ‘16 Denali with 26k in it is a much better deal for $55k.

Try truecar or some used car calculator like that. Kbb even. Too many variables to just throw out a number IMO.

Get that thing out to the highway. Take a sweeping on ramp a little faster than you normally would and then make sure to cruise at 80+ for a few miles. Check for booming and buffeting at lower speeds (20-45). Hit a dirt road if you can. Tell the sales guy to keep quiet. You can hear about their cyber Monday undercoating specials back at the dealership.

Seems pretty reasonable based on the research I did in August for a 16 Tahoe LTZ or Yukon Denali. Never could find a used White Tricoat. Got my 16 LTZ, with almost every option and the retractable boards and 22s and 16k miles for $55k. At the time, about $2500 less than any other similar LTZ with max trailering (also very hard to find). Denalis were all much higher then.

:welcome:Ryan to the forum from Georgia Dawg Country, glad to have you onboard. My advise when considering a large purchase, since SUV'S are more than a average house cost in the mid 70's, is go to your BANK, they will tell you what LOAN value is, all above that is profit for the seller. You would be shocked how much $$$$$ is left on the table. JMHO and good luck to you, it's a large purchase.

if you don't mind travelling a bit, you can get new 2017 Denali's in the $63-$64k range ($8k or more off list, depending on how loaded up it is). I live in NY but bought my 2016 from a dealer in Collinsville IL, just across the border from St Louis. You fly in, they pick u up at the St Louis airport and take you to dealership, then sign papers, take a test drive, and be on your way to a nice road trip home. They have peopel fly in from all over the country because their deals and selection are so good.
