I wonder if a magnet would fix that. Like the old color tube tvs.Screen view. Adjusting the contrast makes the whole screen purple. Reference "Garage" Case for Tech 2, Post #28 And #31
Tech 2 works fine just can't read the bad screen part.

looks like it just needs a new lcd screen, you might be able to mirror to a laptop and that problem wouldn't matter but not sure the tech2 can do that or not haven't tried it yet.Screen view. Adjusting the contrast makes the whole screen purple. Reference "Garage" Case for Tech 2, Post #28 And #31

Probably the same people, same price and pics. I always do a fresh search right before purchase.
One of the guys on here bought one from this link a few days ago:

@Big Mama bought one late last year and so did @shreksbrother among others.
This! ^^^^
According to the guy that did the video of how to replace the dc board this will not fix the problem of it rebooting during crank, the original tech2's had a custom chip that would stay powered on down to 7.5v, he say's it may work on some vehicles anyway, but I think I will put this dc board up and save it in case the existing one ever dies.
The same power supply used in the other Tech-2 machines is available on ebay for about $15 too. I'll probably pick one up soon just to have it for a rainy day or boredom.
the ribbon cable in the LCD is faulty so you will need to take it to a shop to have it replaced (the screen)I don't think Degaussing would work with this type screen. The tvs were cathode ray and I think these are LCD. IC chips do not like Magnetic fields . Even though the PCMCIA card has the software on it.
