Probably the same people, same price and pics. I always do a fresh search right before purchase.

Is there a recommended seller to buy from or a recommended website to use?

One of the guys on here bought one from this link a few days ago:

http://www.chinacardiags.com/wholes...el-suzuki-isuzu-holden-with-full-package.html

@Big Mama bought one late last year and so did @shreksbrother among others.

I would just look on ebay and see who has a sold a number of them, I paid about $350 for mine with a usb key to unlock the software (no storage case), they charge about $50 extra for the case which I didn't find necessary. the guy I bought from only sells them occasionally.

This! ^^^^

To unlock what software?

The Tech-2 comes with TIS2000 software. You need a key to unlock it. You can buy it or usually find it on the SAAB forums.

This software should have all of the latest files for your old GMT-800 trucks, no need to go online at TIS2WEB, probably. Never done it myself yet and I have to go online anyway for mine.

tis 2000, I have not installed it yet, I have a laptop I could put it on just haven't had the need yet, I think the key is to unlock tisweb so I can reprogram stuff up to 2007 without having to pay for it. this is what the thumb has on it

If I come across any problems do either of you mind if I pm you? You both seem to have alot of knowledge on this system and I'm sure I'm going to have questions.

i'm still a beginner but the learning curve isn't bad on these once you get the hang of it it's easy peasy, just ordered one of those power modules James well see how long it takes to get across the big pond.

In post #12 of this thread, @swathdiver post two links. It's for the internal circuit board DC converter.

My Tech 2 came with an external DC cigar lighter adapter, battery clips, and an AC adapter, and I don't envision having to change out the internal converter any time soon. I'll just direct connect to a battery or plug it into an AC outlet.
