Hi all. I'm a an old but new member. A few yrs ago I had a 2000 Yukon. Loved it. Problem was someone else loved it. Stolen.
We replaced it with a SANTA FE. Too small gutless. Looking at replacing it with an 'older'
Model Yukon SLT , 08-10'. Just looking for some advice before I buy. Thanks

you might need to be a bit more specific on what you want advice on. They are great trucks, I own a 09 yukon denali. It has over 100,000 miles and runs perfect.

Thanks and sorry. The specifics I had in mind was 2 WD or 4WD. And how the 2 wheel would handle in the snow. If that model yr had any quirks that frustrated owners. That's just a start. Thx for reply. The one I'm gonna see next Monday is the 09'SLT. 2WD. 188000 kms.
There's not many used yuks around here. The American buyers take them all with the low CAD $ at a steal.

well obviously a AWD is going to handle much better in snow. Its a night and day difference compared to a 2WD. Is it necessary, probably not. I live in michigan and rarely see enough snow that actually warrants a AWD. But you can get going much quicker without the slipping sliding. The biggest quirks that I know on these trucks are broken motor mounts, broken exhaust manifold bolts, hub bearings need to be replaced every 100k. Check and make sure all of the electric door locks work, the actuators tend to go bad. If it has the air ride that goes bad at 100k also. You may not have that though on an slt. All I can think of right now.

Why do some people feel they can just take something that does NOT belong to them?
