awesome :waytogo:....and it looks like they're pretty easy to install with no cutting of the wires?? :hmm:

They replace the black box 10 ohm resistor that comes on the G4's. So yea you'd have to cut the wires on both ends of the resistor to replace it with the gold 6 ohm one. I'll be soldering mine in for the extra support.

:waytogo: Cool, I'll be ordering mine soon. May just do the replacement at the time I put the tails in. According to UPS they should be here Wednesday. Taking so long cuz they're coming from Canada.....

Just ordered the resistors. The shipping on them are almost as much as the part itself!!

Thanks for the heads up and information on this guys! It's been very helpful with this being my first set of LEDs. Should look cool once everything is installed!!! :waytogo:

so it sounds like i would be good if I went with the Gen3 style since I'd more than likely replace the resistors anyway. Appearance wise, the Gen3 and Gen4 look identical.

Yes and yes. Why not get the later generation though? It's newer.

^^ I agree... FWIW, I just got a response back from a vendor that has both in stock and they claim the red reflector with the G3 is larger than the newest version. It's more noticeable with the smoke and clear version than the red version. Says that the G4 is closer to the escalade style.

Does UPS usually keep their tracking number website up to date pretty well? The last update I've gotten on my lights was that it departed from Ontario on the 15th at like 3 AM and the location has not been updated since then.... :banghead: I'm not very patient and I hate waiting! :)

Well, my resistors from vLed have shipped via USPS. :rocking: The race is on as to weather they'll beat my tails here or not :)

Oh they are different? My understanding was they were the same appearance-wise. Wonder if the vendor has stock photos of both to show the difference...
