Our family 1999 Tahoe was totalled last night. My youngest daughters high school car, until last night. Many miles on it, interior was great, and well maintained. Paint was chipping - that white that I have seen on other tahoes of that era that had issues with the primer. I didn't care about that - was planning on keeping it after she went to college. The good news is, the airbags save her and her friend, the truck did what it was supposed to do in a crash like that.
