I started losing oil after I changed it. Had a small leak but used synthetic oil this time and now I have to add a quart every 2 days. Not leaking from filter or drain plug. Heard something about cooler lines but really not sure. Any suggestions?

Climb under the truck and look for your leak. If there`s oil all over and you can`t pinpoint the leak clean it up as best you can and let the truck idle and climb back under and watch where it comes from and let us know where it`s coming from.

Could always get real fancy and do an oil dye and light inspection. It puts the cool in leak detection.

Thanks for all the replies. I fixed the leak. It was the oil pressure switch.

Now your baby can use the good stuff. With no worry about leaks.

If you don't mind me asking, which oil pressure switch brand did you go with and why? I've heard the acDelco was best but didn't know how much it mattered!

I got whatever Oriellys carried with a lifetime warranty; it works just fine. BDE or something like that.

So the oil pressure switch was leaking oil? I knew these went out because several of the suburbans I looked at were inoperable, but I didn't know they leaked oil.
