Well, I don't know if this is normal, but tonight is the first time I've noticed this.
I've got a 2011 Yukon XL with just over 1400 miles. It's got the 6.0L. Here are a couple problems that I'm seeing with it. Don't know if they're related or not.
1. Once the engine is up to operating temperature, the oil pressure drops to just over 20 PSI. Seems a bit low to me.
2. When the vehicle is in gear and at idle with my foot on the brake, the engine seems to cycle up and down about 50-100 RPM every few seconds. It is accompanied by a noticeable vibration in the seat and steering wheel. It doesn't seem to matter if I've got the air conditioning and stereo on or if everything is off. When the engine jumps up to the higher RPM, the vibration pretty much goes away.
Here's a quick video of what I'm talking about. You really can't see the vibration, but you can see the oil pressure gauge at 20-25 PSI. You can see towards the end of the video, I rev the motor and the oil pressure jumps up there.
I'd appreciate some insight on what you guys think? Is this normal? Should I be concerned?
