So i just got my Tahoe back a few hours ago and the dealer was able to go into the computer and find that i had a misfire on the #5 and #8 cylinders while i was doing 70mph on cruise control. They said there was a recent GM bulletin for 2011 vehicles stating to check spark plug wires to make sure there fastened properly and also to do a pressure test on the injectors. My dealer did both and found nothing wrong with my vehicle.

They cleared the code and drove it for 30 miles trying to see if they could duplicate the problem and get the light to come on....of course it didnt come on. They released the vehicle back to me and said that they feel it maybe was a computer glitch or maybe some bad fuel.

I buy my fuel on a military base which i have been doing for the past 13 years and never had a problem with any of my vehicles when it comes to fuel. My Tahoe only has 2800 miles on it so we"ll see if it comes on again.

Sorry i couldnt be more help.

Consider changing your brand of fuel. My base's gas station uses low rated gas from off base (truck stop company). You can bet the first tank of gas was the cheapest gas the dealer could find, probably lowest octane rating also.
