Magnaflow 12589 or 12909???

Wanting to replace my muffler and don't know which of these to get. They're the same muffler but the 12589 has 3" inlet/outlet and the 12909 has 3.5". What size are the factory pipes?

I had the magnaflow cat back on my 04 and loved it. Waste of money to buy the cat back.

Is the muffler the same length as factory or will I have to weld a piece of pipe in?

5.3= 3"
6.2=3.5

My 2007 (5.3) had 2 3/4" in and out as does my 2010.

Yup mine is 2 3/4 as well on my 10. So even though I have a welder I guess I'm stuck with going to a muffin shop so they can make a short piece for each end that is stretched from 2 3/4 to 3". That sux.

Any recommendations?
