I ordered a MF CB exhaust kit for my 4.8 L '03 Tahoe (same kit for 5.3). I'm going to do the install myself. Any tip/tricks? I'm going to use a lift, so access should be easy. Any others have issues to the stock hangers, etc.?

Thanks.

Install complete.

Installed new front shocks, bled/flushed brakes and installed the Magnaflow catback exhaust today. Install went well, as is typical, one bolt on the flange was a *****. PB blasted it, but it and the other are hard to get to and there isn't a lot of room to turn a ratchet.

Tips:

1. the flange bolts are 15 mm, I used the "non" round-off socket (forget the real name). Seems a good idea since these bolts are a ***** to get off.

2. I used 4 inch gear pullers to push the stock pipe hangers out through the rubber frame insulators. Worked well.

3. I used grease on the new pipe hangers to ease them through the rubber insulators during the install.

Exhaust sounds great, but I'd be okay with more. You hear it at start up and when your accelerating, but it all but disappears once your cruising. So, no drone on highway, that's a good thing. I also have a CAI, so combined the Tahoe is sounding much meaner, but not quite a mean as my Mustang GT.

Took it out for a quick spin and to fill the tank, $3.41 !!!! stupid Lybia!

I'd love for the gas to be $3.41 out here! I fill my tank up @ $3.89 for the cheapest gas at Costco.
