MAP sensor fit

The MAP sensor on mine isn't located under the plate , so i don't need to remove it. it is down and behind that area where you can not see it. So, I don't know what you mean by spreading the tabs apart to pull out the sensor.

You have a 2001, and it's not like in the video? Mine is a 2002 Yukon sle 4x4 and it's exactly like in the video below. I recently replaced the MAF also with a Delphi since the original was a Delphi just as @OR VietVet linked. Note however that the trademark Delphi stamped plate is no longer used, it's just a blank plate now. I thought it was a Chinese fake at first until I went to O'Reilly Auto to check.

since i am traveling, and can't wait for parts to be delivered. I bought some MAF cleaner and cleaned the MAF sensor. I am wondering if I should take off the MAP sensor which had been cleaned with WD-40 and use the MAF cleaner on it. Or should I just leave it alone for now.

Initially I watched that same video and took the plate off and found mine was different. like i said the sensor is down below and in a vertical position facing the firewall. My son has a 2003 Tahoe and is different than mine as well. I wonder why no one is familiar with the type that I have.

what is the deal with these MAP sensors? I tried a 3rd one which was Delphi. The rubber seal appears to be a slight bit wider in diameter than the original. I could not get any on them to seat into the hole like the original.

I said lube it and be aware that the seal is new and therefore not as flattened out as the old one that has been in there for so long. I hesitate to say this, but are you strong enough to shove that SOB in there?
