the magnetic is there as a proxy so you can tell based on one change to the next.. how much iron is in the oil. i have these one every motor i have. tells you when the product is ready to be sold..

Until the epoxy comes off and clogs the oil pickup tube screen or the magnet gets caught up the rotating assembly after it falls off the epoxy anyway.
