Motor mount with one bolt

So long story short, I bought a new driver side motor Mount for my 6.2 in my Yukon Denali and attempted to install it myself.
I have pretty much zero experience in these type of things but I managed to get it in there (YouTube is my mentor).
Only problem is that the after market mount that I bought has slightly different mounting holes in the flange where it mates with the chassis. I was only able to put the center bolt (1 bolt out of 3) into the frame/chassis but the other two do not line up. The four bolts that go into the motor on the other side are all fine and snug.

I’ve driven it a few times and everything seems fine (until now)

Do I dare leave it as is? Thoughts?

Doesn’t seem like the right thing to do. Mind sharing what you bought? Might have the wrong part for your vehicle. Before I started drilling out holes, I’d look for parts that fit properly.

+1. Get the right OEM mount (or an upgraded one that's a proper fit), and do the job right.

Yes, they are solid rubber, like old school mounts, instead of the hydraulic, fluid filled, mounts that come on these trucks.

The passenger side H3 Alpha mount fits both sides of our trucks and that is what most police and fleet service shops use as replacements.

The H3 Alpha came with the 5.3L.

If I HAD to run a mount with one bolt, it'd be the passenger side. You're asking for trouble running it like that, and especially with it being on the driver side.

I agree with not using aftermarket mounts. They are notorious for failing much sooner than AC Delco ones. The AC Delco hydraulic ones seem to fail 2-3 times faster than the standard, solid style mounts. I replaced both of mine with AC Delco "H3" mounts and have no regrets. I bury the skinny pedal with confidence.
