If I park my truck with the AC on for even about 5-10 mins, once I take off the motor sound incredibly LOUD.. Sounds like an airplane or something.. Does anyone else experience this?

Looking at your sig, assuming it's the 2003 Yukon, it could be the mechanical cooling fan. Engine compartment is heating up while sitting with the A/C on. When you take off, that fan is running at full speed until the engine compartment cools down a bit. Sounds like an airplane taking off. My 2005 does the same thing. At least until this Friday when I hope to install the e-fans! :)

sounds like the tranny cooler engaged to cool down the tranny....it quiets down as you start moving

huh? the trans cooler is just like a radiator for your engine..its always cooling the trans fluid and there is no engaging or disengaging?

it was just your mech fan..fan clutch engages when it gets warmer in the engine compartment

So fix will be to change the fans? The stock fans always run when the engine turns on right? or do they come on with the temp. gets to a certain point?
