Hey guys, first off new to the site but have been reading post for weeks and my eyes are BLEEDING! lol ! TONS of great info on this site.
My question is does anyone have a part # for a muffler that fits an 03 denali? I crawled underneath today and it is dual in dual out but the "in" is kinda offset. Just want to make sure before i pull the trigger. Also have listened to many sound clips on here and am leaning towards magnaflow's

the only problem with a magnaflow is there will be a drone in the cabin around 1800-2100rpm.

i am aware of the drone from the magnaflow. I am aslo partial to flows but have read better thiing about the magnaflow. if someone could chime is with a part #'s of the muffler they are running on their denali. I am not sure if the tahoe has the same setup as denali. But I have seen some guys running dual in/single out also single in/single out.
Basically what im after is a muffler I can hook directly up to stock pipes.
Again on my muffler, the straight pipes that run into the muffler are offset and all mufflers I've seen are side by side

I have a Magnaflow 3" in and 2.5" out dual with 3.5" Tips and get no drone at all. I used to have a Flowmaster Super 40 and will never go back to a Flowmaster again. I highly recommend the magnaflow. I also have 2 children kindergarten and younger so they watch movies on the DVD player and not once did I have to turn up the sound to drown out the exhaust. :)

I will try to get some pics and the part number for you. Keep in mind this is on a 5.3L Tahoe Z71.

I'm sorry I don't have a part number for you but I run the magnaflow to the stock pipes but with a dual 2.5 exhaust tip.

How do you like the sound with the 6.0? Im 99% sure im going magnaflow unless someone else has better input. Just trying to find the right fitment. Looking at magnaflow #12468. The only thing that I'm concerned with right now is the offset on my stock pipes wont line up correctly to the new muffler. If thats the case i might just have to bite the bullet and take it in to a muffler shop and have them install it. I was trying to avoid them and do it my self so I can save the coin and put it toward a drop kit

I was looking at that same muffler same price! But does your hoe have a single in single out stock piping? My denali has dual in/dual out to a Y pipe then single pipe to the tip. So I don't believe it'll work with my stock piping unless I take it into a shop :emotions122:

I had my muffler shop put it in, it was a simple cut and reweld. The sound I really like deep but not loud I just cant stand the drone. This is the muffler that I used

I believe the # is 15837

I'm not doin the cat back just a simple muffler swap with stock piping, but have heard magnaflow has a little drone around 2000 rpm but flowmaster is quite a bit louder which I do not want. Just a nice deep rumble is what I'm looking for. I guess if the drone is too bad with the magnaflow can always try the flowmaster, probably 50 series
