Open headers will make your ears bleed!! I ran open headers on my truck on my way to the muffler shop and it took the rest of the day for my ears to return to 'normal'....

Hell yeah, back in the day when I had my first car a lincoln mark 7 I put a 5.0HO motor in. So my mechanic finally got the motor swapped out and left me with open headers to drive 20+ miles to the exhaust shop. ( I was too cheap to shell out 150 for a flat bed)The next morning I left 5am with open headers. DAM what a ride! First off you the sound is increadable nevermind the power increase!

My whole car was dyno-matted and the sound was still insane!

I just installed a new 3" system with a universal Magnaflow cat and a 24" case Magnaflow round XL muffler (30" overall I believe), very quiet at idle with just a little growl while accelerating. Big improvement (IMO) over the old Flowmaster I had on there.

That's the idea. The muffler is straight through though and has plenty of growl to it when you get on it, but I needed something substantially more quiet than the Flowmaster I had though (especially at idle) as I'll be taking this to campgrounds a lot and don't want to be pissing everybody off before I've even set up camp.

Not to take over the thread but, whats a good muffler with some sound at a decent price. Im really just looking for a little more sound over stock.
