Here are some pics of my 2003 Tahoe that was stolen in Bakersfield, Ca 11/21/09 and recovered 11/23/2009. They gained entry from the driver's side keyhole and stole it in broad daylight. It started right up with a screwdriver to turn the ignition. How can I tell if the passlock system needs to be changed thats behind the ignition lock?? Now the abs and parking brake lights are on and for some reason when I turn the a/c & heater on nada works!hopefully its just a fuse. Stole the stereo/wiring, rims and battery, headlight & foglight switch, drivers side vent and pocket for some reason . There are surface scratches that can be buffed out from when they drove it in the orchard and ditched it in Delano, Ca. I have new crossdrilled & slotted rotors on order with Summit as well as Hawk Pads from Jegs. I will be replacing the pieces in the interior, Escalade exterior handles (prob rear handles without the keyhole on the front doors if it will work), new mirrors since these are scratched on the plastic with LED signal OEM's and colormatch with chrome caps new 24's and a 3/5 drop with a alarm this time. :imo:rofljest: Prob paint the lower valence and bumper cap in the future too. It's @ my friends shop waitin' for parts!
On to the pics....
Started as this:

and it wasn't burned either, how very unprofessional of them.
Wonder if they jacked it for people smuggling?

What's under the center console that's worth tearing the entire thing out?

I doubt it, i think they just wanted the rims/tires and stereo. It was found 2 days later in Delano.....30 miles from where it was stolen in a orchard.

I think that another guy had already tried putting a backdoor handle on the front door, but it didn't work. He said the mechanisms were a little different, and hence, couldn't be used interchangeably. They sell jimmy jammer kits that go right behind these key holes to prevent this type of theft. The alarm is a good idea.
