So the engine in my '03 Yukon XL decided to crap out on me last summer and I have been gathering parts and building it up since then. The whole process was pro longed due to the pandemic and parts being on back order etc
At first I just wanted to put a rebuilt LQ4 in it that I had sitting in my shop. The engine was a short block. But then of course you start to think and it all goes downhill from there
Ordered some Texas Speed and Performance heads and cam shaft , push rods, double roller timing chain set and a GM High Performance oil pump
The heads are the PRC 220cc-15 degree heads, .660" Dual Spring Kit with Titanium retainers , 61cc
Camshaft is a TSP 224/228 .600"/.600" 112
Intake manifold is a Holley High Rise EFI intake with my own carbon top and a Nick Williams 103mm throttle body and 42lbs injectors
Headers are Speed Engineering long tube headers that I coated with ZyCoat heat coating
The headers are attached to the heads with Stage8 locking fasteners
Transmission is a Monster Transmission 4l65E
SS Mega Monster rated at 650hp/600TQ , Thor torque converter 1800-2000 stall with lock up, billet oil pan with drain plug
The rear end was rebuilt, new ring and pinion gears, bearings etc and a Yukon gear limited slip. Powerstop disc and pads
