My 2009 PPV progress thread

Hi all, new to the forum. Wanted to document the process as I convert my PPV to a more civilian style.
I bought it a few days ago for $6500. 183k miles, in great condition. It was an unmarked vehicle so nothing on the exterior needs to be touched and the interior had minimal equipment. All of my windows and doors work and the factory keyless entry works. So far its mostly interior cosmetics and creature comforts I want to add.

Plans are
- Center console - installed - purchased for $150, LTZ model. Added cup holder insert for $15.
- Dash cover (hard version from dashskin) - purchased for $150
- Front seats replaced with leather
- Add 3rd row
- Remote start
- Fix horn
- Add DIC
- Full interior carpet
- Add double din receiver with aftermarket backup camera - Purchased all for $270
- Possibly some performance bits down the road

I will try and update this regularly with my progress and findings.

Console installed. Very simple and didn’t even have to fully remove the seats.
The rear controls are not currently functional and I doubt I will ever make that the case. The console had the factory BOSE sub which I removed and will replace with a powered subwoofer (Rockville, etc) down the road. Plenty of room inside for an 8” or 10” unit.

Crappy weather today but I have the dash cover dry fit in place and yesterday I wired and mounted the backup camera.

The dash cover looks awesome and I’ll post before and after pics hopefully this upcoming week.
Backup camera was a pain, broke a few bolts but managed to get that resolved (plastic bolts). Whatever the piece is called where the license plate lights mount was the offender. I found a really good work around if anyone needs help.
