LOL at bashing a guy on giving GM a measly $100K for a Cadillac, when the OP has "given" GM over $150K for two 2015 Denalis.....can't make this shit up.
You guys are funny.
Unless the dealer subs to professional detailer (99% don't) the first thing I tell every dealer before taking delivery of a new vehicle is to make sure they don't wash it. I don't care if they hand wash all their vehicles, I do not trust them not to *** up my paint before it ever gets to me. I've seen too many vehicles, some a lot more expensive than a GM suv, delivered with swirl marks all over the place form the dealer wash.
Ok. Got the call this morning. They figured out the tailgate. No biggie.
The vehicle was still programmed to "Transport Mode" when it was loaded at the rail yard. The dealer was supposed to place it back into "Client Mode" which brings all of the convenience features back online. It was supposed to be done when it was first unloaded at the dealership but got missed. Everything is functional.
I asked them when they thought it would be ready to pick up as tomorrow would be the earliest I could make it over there. They told me that it was already going over to HD Car Care per my request and getting the proper detailing; for my inconvenience.
....well, so that ended nicely.
The end cost was GM Employee pricing, $700 paint correction detailing thrown in, and a $500 Visa gift card (We ordered 5 trucks together so got a kind of fleet discount).
I'll report back once I actually pick it up in the next day or so.
