I haven't had a chance to install the intake yet, I've been using the Tahoe as my dd since my other truck is getting new turbos installed. I'm gonna have a mechanic install the intake first to see if that resolves the rough idle and lack of hp...it sucks having to pay someone to do an easy job thanks to my crazy work hours :(

I drove the Esky for the first time yesterday since the day I bought it and all I can say is DAMN that engine runs great! it has lots of balls and the cai sounded sweet under heavy acceleration. The 5.3 in the Tahoe is a dog, even if I get it running right again swapping in that 6.0 is inevitable

I'll be more than happy to return the intake if you need it back brother
Oh hell no I don't need it back, the Whipple ain't coming off. Good luck though with whatever happens.

Installed the power stop drilled and slotted rotors along with stainless steel brake hoses and the red power stop calipers today...front brakes were totally shot, I nearly rear ended a prius last night...that would of been ugly lol

Sorry for the ****** pics but I never carry my phone on me and forgot to take pics during the install. Next week I'm going to drop the gas tank with my buddy who is more knowledgeable and install a new ac delco fuel pump/filter to resolve the poor mpg I've been getting...the following week I will be installing new shocks (5100's)on all 4 corners along with the z71 rear springs

My pile of boxes/parts are finally beginning to disappear

Looking good. Did you bleed the brakes the old fashion way or did you use a scanner?

Thanks brother, we bled the brakes the old school way...breaking in the new pads was a little tough, the Hoe feels like she only has 10hp... it takes forever to hit 50mph lol. As soon as I get a few more issues resolved, I'll begin the heart transplant(6.0) :D

Standing by for the transplant!!!!!!

I was quoted $3k to swap the engine and tranny from each truck...looks like I'll be working lots of overtime the next few weeks :banghead: a lot better than the $7k I just dropped on new twin turbos for my other truck

Being an car enthusiast is worse than being a *****...we can't wait for that next mod:drool:

Find some friends that owe some favours lol !!! It's super easy to do your self. I did mine slowly in two weekends. I work 6 days a week and 14 hours a day with a hour commute each way. And if you run into any problems we are all here to help !

When you do the swap use the caddy exhaust!! Well worth it.
$3000. That's a little much ! Maybe $1500-$2000 that's it. IMO
