I was quoted $3k to swap the engine and tranny from each truck...looks like I'll be working lots of overtime the next few weeks :banghead: a lot better than the $7k I just dropped on new twin turbos for my other truck

Being an car enthusiast is worse than being a *****...we can't wait for that next mod:drool:
I paid $500 plus parts for my swap. My buddy hooked me up.

Find some friends that owe some favours lol !!! It's super easy to do your self. I did mine slowly in two weekends. I work 6 days a week and 14 hours a day with a hour commute each way. And if you run into any problems we are all here to help !

When you do the swap use the caddy exhaust!! Well worth it.
$3000. That's a little much ! Maybe $1500-$2000 that's it. IMO

The only problem doing the swap myself besides not knowing how to, is the very limited space I have. Living in NYC, it's just about impossible to tackle that type of job on the street. My tenants already ***** to me how they can barely fit in my driveway with groceries:violin2: ...way too many cars and nosey people who would drop a dime on me in seconds...even though a few of my cousins are cops, it's not worth the hassle

I do plan on swapping the Esky exhaust out as well, my exhaust is cut near the center of the truck and loses way too much back pressure...it does sound good though lol.

I went by a few shops and the cheapest quote I received was $3k(without labor charges) to do the swap...that's what I get for living in NYC, every business enjoys bending you over any chance they get

Not TYF related but I just finished my paperwork and I am officially retired from the FDNY after 23 years of service:D

Down to 1 full time job which means more time to get back to modding:driver:

I'm taking a weeks vacation and plan on gutting the Hoe and installing the new carpet along with the rest of the Esky interior

To Be Continued...
